Overall, this hotel is great for the price. It is not flashy at all, and has some kooky decorations, but provided everything I needed for a place to rest while solo travelling. I felt totally safe as a woman travelling alone. The breakfast is also awesome and hearty - as an American I appreciated the opportunity to have scrambled eggs! (Although I did opt to try the congee and other more unfamiliar dishes to me and those were yummy too.) As others have mentioned, it is definitely a 'love motel', hence the hourly rate and the free condoms left for you in the room, but that honestly didn't impact my experience at all. If you don't care about luxury or aesthetic and are truly just looking for a bed and bathroom, this is a great option.

If they refreshed the property then they could probably triple the price point, but then I wouldn't be staying there anymore if they did that. If you want an expensive hotel then why stay in Hsinchu at all? Taipei has many more expensive hotels.

The breakfast is not that great but if nothing else you can eat toast with some peanut butter. Overall it's good value for the money.
